Our Values

United Fray
is seeking a full-time Brand & Graphic Designer who wants to be part of a dynamic growing company that helps Make Fun Possible through sports, events, fitness, travel, and media
We’re on a mission to never stop playing. As an Inc. 5000 company we’re growing rapidly and have evolved from a social sports company to a full lifestyle community. We have just launched a new brand name and rolling out an exciting new market position. We are looking for someone to manage visual identity, graphic design and brand needs! This is a creative position with a direct impact in the look and feel of our company. Yes, graphic design is a big product and the focus of this role, but the right person will understand how brand is so much more than just a logo or a design.

The right person has a strong background in web and graphic design, with a passion for understanding and reinforcing people’s relationships to brands. You understand the role design plays in influencing brand perception and human behavior.
Bring our brand to life – You’ll be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our visual identity and brand system through every customer touch point, whether it’s online, on the field, or at a bar, starting in D.C. and eventually across multiple cities.
Be a killer visual designer – From ideation to production, you’ll be involved in the look-and-feel of almost every part of our marketing efforts. You have a deep understanding of typography, color, layout, and imagery and you know how to bring these elements together to express our brand’s personality, tone, voice, and values, based on our branding guidelines.
Love making stuff – You’ll produce and manage visual assets for all print and digital collateral, including posters, flyers, brochures and company swag, plus content for our website, blog, social media channels, banner ads, and email newsletters.
Balance creativity with strategy -- You’ll work closely with our Brand Marketing & Communications Manager, in collaboration with cross-functional teams, to ensure that we’re strategically delivering the right messages to the right audiences on the right channels at the right time.
Work hard, play often – You love working flexible hours with lean, scrappy teams and enjoy doing a little bit of everything in a fast-paced environment. You’re highly self-motivated, outgoing and collaborative, especially under pressure. You treat your coworkers like your friends and don't mind the dogs in the office.
  • A strong portfolio of design projects that demonstrate your ability to manage a comprehensive brand identity system and enforce visual style guidelines
  • Expert skills in Adobe Creative Suite (i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Experience with HTML, CSS and web standards
  • 2-4+ years experience in graphic or web design, preferably working in-house for a lifestyle brand or at a branding agency
  • Experience designing in a variety of mediums, including print and digital
  • Experience coordinating with freelancers and contractors to produce design deliverables
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once and accurately set and meet deadlines
  • Clean driving record and the ability to safely operate company vehicles (we like to drive around town – you won’t always be stuck in the office!)

  • Experience managing design collateral for paid social media or advertising campaigns (i.e. Google Adwords, Facebook)
  • Motion design or video production experience
  • Web development experience
  • Photography skills
  • Copywriting skills
  • Dog lover! (we have a couple that work with us part-time)
  • Willing to play kickball or softball on a nice day

  • Salary commensurate with experience and past portfolio
  • Opportunity for salary and position growth
  • Generous 401K Retirement Benefits After 1st year
  • Subsidized Health coverage including Dental & Vision
  • Paid Vacation, Holidays & Sick Time
  • Fun Dynamic Work Environment
  • Free Registration to Sport Leagues and Events
When applying please submit a link to your portfolio and examples of past work as well as your salary needs in your cover letter / pitch.
